The One Where We Chat To Hamlet Batista About SEO Automation

Join Sarah McDowell and Hannah Bryce (The SEO SAS Podcast) with Hamlet Batista (RankSense) as they talk about SEO automation. Hamlet shares his take on what tasks in SEO should be automated, the skills needed to get to be able to do it, and easy ways to get into programming. They get into the essence of learning, focusing on the business' message rather than keyword rankings, and SEO's future with regards to automation. Hamlet also shares how RankSense can help speed up SEO results from six months to six weeks!

By the end of this episode, you will learn the value of making your work efficient, the significance of having varied skills, and form an appreciation (or fear) of pythons!

About Hamlet Batista:

Hamlet’s story begins to the south: he was born and lived until 2010 in the beautiful tropical island of the Dominican Republic. Prior to gaining US Citizenship, he was a US Genius Visa holder - Alien of Extraordinary Ability (Search Engine Optimisation). He is the inventor of the agile SEO platform, RankSense.

SEO is a very valuable marketing channel, but it typically takes 6 months, and a lot of guesswork to see results. Hamlet and RankSense's mission is to accelerate SEO results to 6 weeks using artificial intelligence and automation.

Prior to founding RankSense Inc, Hamlet co-invented Altruik’s Page Priority®, an enterprise-level SEO software product that pioneered automated resolution of site architecture issues. On average, clients experienced a double-digit increase in sales year over year from organic search and a patent was filed for this invention. Hamlet also created the patented software RankSense®, an SEO product focused on simplifying SEO for small businesses, which earned WebHost Magazine’s prestigious Editor’s Choice Award in December 2008.

Additionally, Hamlet served as the technical review editor for the first and second editions of the book “The Art of SEO” published by O’Reilly Media, which was named as one of the best SEO books of 2009 by SearchEngineLand, and is a Search Engine Marketing award-winning blogger and conference speaker. Other achievements include the launch of a highly successful Affiliate Marketing Network in the competitive Online Pharmaceutical vertical which resulted in first page rankings for competitive pharmaceutical product keywords on Google and abundant affiliate commissions.

About your hosts

Sarah McDowell

I've been in Digital Marketing and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) for around 10 years, currently working as the SEO Manager at Captivate (part of Global), the world's only growth-orientated podcast host. I am a self-confessed SEO nerd (I find the industry fascinated and love learning how search engines like Google work) and a bit of a podcast addict (with this being the fourth podcast I have hosted). I am also a speaker and trainer. I hope you enjoy this podcast!

Seriously Excited about Optimisations (is this not my online dating profile?). I love everything SEO, especially a good SEO analogy. SEO Manager by day, at the weekends, when I’m not with Sarah in our podcasting and SEO bubble, you’ll probably find me (literally) with my head in the clouds, up a mountain - with my husband Dom (who hopefully ignores the bit about a dating profile). Cat mum, vegan baker and aspiring photographer in what’s left of my spare time ✌🏻
